Eco School

February 2016

Happy New Year Eco page readers! We felt a bit better this time when we went for a litter pick because there was a bit less litter this time. However, there was still a huge amount of litter, 195 pieces!

This is a reduction of 72 which is good...but not good enough!

Please please please stop dropping litter so we can get our litter traffic lights back to green!q

of litter instead of 258 but our litter moniter is still at orange though and we would like it to be at

December 2015

Today we felt upset and mad and angry and shocked! We went on a litter pick in the school grounds and found 258 bits of litter and almost filled a big bin bag with our terrible mess. Letham Primary School must do better! We've made our litter pick traffic lights red.

Welcome to our school Eco page. Here you can meet our Eco representatives, find out what our plans are and what we've been working on.

"My name is Libby Stuart and I am 11. I’ve been a part of eco for 3 years now and our job is to keep the school tidy and clean. I really enjoy Eco as it’s a tradition in my family. My brother was a part of eco when he was at this school and he really enjoyed it too. I’m glad I can make this school a better place to be and I was glad to be a part of the day when we got our 5th Eco flag. I got to show off our incredible school and I got a certificate for doing so. I really enjoy being a part of Eco. It’s my last year at Letham and I hope when I leave it will continue to be great!"

Hi I am Richie I am in p6/7 and I am 11 years old and I would like to help our school to be tidy and the environment. We have had five Eco flags.

We have to keep our playground clean so no littering; no climbing in the trees and no throwing hoops in the trees.

Hi I’m Emilie Douglas.

I am in P6/7 and I am an Eco pupil.

Our job is to make sure that the playground and the rest of the environment is nice and tidy.

Hello, I'm Morgan. I really like gymnastics and science and I can't wait to help the school in ECO.

My name is C.J. I am in Primary 3/4 and I'm looking forward to learning more about Eco because I was only in pupil council in my old school, not ECO.
