Playground Changes

As we move into the summer term we have decided to re-introduce a shared Breaktime for P1-P7 children. During our in-service day staff worked together to produce a playground plan and ‘zoned’ each of the areas.

This plan was shared with P7 last Friday and with the rest of the children during Get Together this morning. We have created a timetable of activities for morning break with the children accessing a different area each day.

We are providing our P7s with the additional responsibility of having their own ‘P7 Zone’.

Social Snack has changed for P1-4 also. Class Teachers will serve snack at 10.35am – just before the bell.

Today all children across P1-7 had a shared Breaktime; we conducted a simple ‘exit poll’ and almost all children surveyed were very positive about the changes. We will continue to monitor this closely.
