Playground Rough & Tumble

There are many benefits to allowing children the freedom to play and we try hard to strike the balance with adult directed activities arranged for break times and free play at lunchtimes.  There is lots of research around the benefits of allowing children to explore and develop through 'rough and tumble' play however we must also ensure children do not take things too far.  We have received a number of concerns this week about children being hurt through 'toy fighting' and will address this with the whole school on Monday morning.  Please discuss this with your child/children and let us know if you have any concerns.
