Wednesday 28.02.18 - Severe Weather

Good morning! What a day it's been so far for many of us.  I have been up and trying to check on all things school related since 6am however our website was not awake at this time - thankfully it is working again now!

I hope you were able to receive the text messages, app updates and Twitter updates to help you make plans for today.

Most of our staff team have been able to get into work today however both Miss Oliver and myself have not been able to. Miss Simpson is currently co-ordinating everything for us and keeping us in the loop.

Staff from Dunkeld, Crieff, Stanley, Scone and beyond have made it in this morning. If the weather situation does not improve we will have to send them home early to make sure they get home safely.

We are checking with our dining centre staff to arrange an early lunch for all children - if we do have to close due to worsening weather conditions we will aim to make this decision as soon as possible but we would ensure all children had a hot lunch first.

If you think we do not have your most up to date contact numbers please email: letham@pkc.gov.uk and I will get these into the system asap.

PKC endeavour to keep all schools open and our city centre schools often benefit from extra staff being available to support this - two extra teachers are with us today!

Please remember the decision to send children to school during periods of severe weather remains with you - if you do feel you can get your children to and from school safely then please keep them at home.

Kind regards

Sharon Forbes, Head Teacher
