We have made some changes to our procedures for collecting payments for school meals which will be implemented from Monday 21st May 2018.

Our current system is not working for a number of reasons and this is adding additional workload for class teachers, office staff along with stress for parents and carers when things go wrong e.g. money not being credited to accounts.

Parent Pay is the safest and quickest way to pay for school meals. If you need support setting up your account Debbie and Sarah are happy to help.

If you cannot use Parent Pay the following procedures for cash payments must be followed:

  • Cash payments should be brought to school on a Monday morning
  • Miss Kelly will collect payments in Assembly Hall from parents and children at 9am
  • Class teachers will not accept cash or envelopes from children
  • Breakfast Club parents can pay when dropping off
  • Cash payments will not be accepted daily – payment for week must be made
  • Brown envelopes must be used with amount included written on the front – envelopes are free from school office
  • Loose money will not be accepted - school will accept no responsibility for any other monies lost
  • Envelopes will be opened by office staff ; the amount verified to the total on the front
  • Amounts will be recorded on Parent Pay; email sent confirming receipt

If you are struggling to pay for school meals please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Forbes or Miss Oliver who will be able to discuss possible supports with you. Support is also available through the PKC Welfare Rights Team: http://www.pkc.gov.uk/welfarerights
